HR SUMMIT 2009 

Centre for Business Management of Birla Institute of Management Technology is organizing HR SUMMIT 2009 for the third year in a row. The theme of the event is, ‘Steering HR With A Human Touch-The Navigational Facet of HR’. HR Summit 2009 is based on effective instrumental leadership and abilities and initiatives, which lend a Midas touch to the organization. To build such vivacious organizations an intelligent maneuvering from the top is most solicited for and hence the theme of this summit. 

The Chief Guest for the summit is Mr.Bhaskar Chatterjee, IAS, Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. The Guest of Honour for the occasion is Mr.Anand Nayak, Head HRD, ITC. The summit director is Mr. S.Y.Siddiqui, Managing Executive Officer- Administration( HR, Finance and IT), Maruti Suzuki, President National HRD Network, Delhi chapter. The inaugural address will be given by the Chief Guest and the keynote address by the Guest of Honour. 
 
 

The summit has a plethora of distinguished speakers form different walks of life, all experts in their respective fields. The speakers comprise S.Varadarajan, EVP and Chief HR Officer, Quattro BPO Solutions(P) Ltd., C.S.Vankata Ratnam, Director and Professor, IMI, Delhi, Rajneesh Singh, Group Head of Human Resources, Network 18 Group among many more. 

HR Summit 2009 has been divided into three sessions of discussions by the invited speakers. The first session is- Enabling Talent- HR In A Pivotal Role. This session will invoke discussion on the need for talent management being an imperative for organizations if they wish stay competitive. 

The second theme of the summit is- Her Way of Business- Proving and Improving. This will talk about the need for women fraternity in the corporate world today, who have helped to rejuvenate an instinct of versatile development and growth in all aspects. The session will deal with all such aspects of adopting strategies and initiated by women leaders, simultaneously maintaining work-life balance. 

The third session talks about- Inspirational HR- A Quantum Leap. This session will initiate a discussion on the need for realizing the importance of HR today and having it as a strategic business partner of the organization and accepting it as a core function, rather than support function. A mind boggling session of quizzing will conclude the event.
